Our Mission

Trust Brigade is a volunteer-powered deep canvassing operation built by veteran organizers and focused on Colorado’s 8th Congressional District. CD8 is one of the most competitive swing districts in America and crucial for Democrats to retake the House.Our goal is to have 15,000 heartfelt conversations with low-propensity Democratic-leaning voters to demonstrate how connection is the most powerful form of persuasion.In a time of division, fear, and misinformation, we believe in empathy. In 2026, deep canvassing can be the difference between winning and losing the House.

Meet The Team

Jarrek Holmes – Director & Lead Organizer
Jarrek is a Colorado native and Denver-based organizer who blends political strategy with technical expertise to build lasting progressive infrastructure. In 2024, he helped lead the Horizon Deep Canvassing Project in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District—a partnership between the state party, Attorney General Phil Weiser, and a team of volunteers. This project directly led to 2,500 deep conversations and a 14.58% turnout boost among low-propensity voters. With experience in both party operations and tech-driven outreach, Jarrek is committed to scaling the kind of relational work that wins elections and builds long-term power.

Dave Fleischer – Trainer, Organizer & Deep Canvasser
Over the last 15 years, Fleischer's teams pioneered deep canvassing, a much more effective form of voter persuasion. His team at the Leadership LAB was the first to come up with the approach, and the first to have a randomized controlled trial (RCT) validate their effectiveness at changing voters’ minds in a large and lasting way. The RCT findings were so powerful that they were published in the trusted journal Science in 2016 (Broockman and Kalla, “Durably reducing transphobia: a field experiment on door-to-door canvassing,” Science, 352(6282): 220-224).In 2020, Fleischer established and directed an independent expenditure super PAC focused entirely on campaigning directly against Trump in Philadelphia in both 2020 and 2024. The PAC allows Fleischer to teach deep canvassing to both partisan and non-partisan groups around the country, which is what he is currently doing.Public attention for Fleischer’s voter persuasion work includes his TEDx talk on how to change voters’ minds and reduce prejudice. Regina Clemente – Senior Advisor
Regina has been organizing since 1996, starting as a teenage volunteer and growing into a national leader in community and electoral organizing. Over two decades, she’s worked with grassroots organizations like ACORN, Planned Parenthood, and the LA LGBTQ Center on campaigns for childcare, healthcare, housing, and marriage equality. A pioneer of modern deep canvassing, she helped launch early efforts after Prop 8 and scaled them nationally as Freedom to Marry’s Field Director. Most recently, Regina has focused on building power in Western and Plains states through the Movement Voter Project, bringing deep canvassing to red and rural communities. She now supports competitive House districts with an eye toward building long-term political homes and fighting rising authoritarianism.
